Accessibility statement
We want BibleForSI to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or high contrast.
- Target: WCAG 2.2 level AA, which is also the basis of the European standard EN 301 549 used for the European Accessibility Act. Status: partially conformant (self-assessed).
- What we do: semantic HTML, full keyboard access and a skip link, visible focus, adjustable text size, light, dark and high-contrast themes, reduced motion, right-to-left languages, and automated accessibility checks before each release. Pop-up sheets keep keyboard focus inside and return it when closed; pages reflow to 320 px and tolerate custom text spacing; Windows High Contrast (forced colors) is supported.
- Known limitations: some illustrations have only short descriptions; machine-drafted translations may contain errors; shared verse images are pictures (the verse is also included as text when sharing); the reading voice is not available in every language.
- If something is hard to use or you need content in another format, contact us at the address below. We aim to reply within 10 working days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact your national enforcement body.
