Mass during the Day
First reading Acts 13:26-33
26“Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you. 27For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they didn’t know him, nor the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him. 28Though they found no cause for death, they still asked Pilate to have him killed. 29When they had fulfilled all things that were written about him, they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb. 30But God raised him from the dead, 31and he was seen for many days by those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people. 32We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers, 33that God has fulfilled this to us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second psalm, ‘You are my Son. Today I have become your father.’WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Public Domain. Source: eBible.org. Read in context: Acts 13:26-33
Responsorial Psalm Psalms 2:6-7, 8-9, 10-11
6“Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.” 7I will tell of the decree: The LORD said to me, “You are my son. Today I have become your father. 8Ask of me, and I will give the nations for your inheritance, the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession. 9You shall break them with a rod of iron. You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” 10Now therefore be wise, you kings. Be instructed, you judges of the earth. 11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Public Domain. Source: eBible.org. Gospel acclamation John 14:6
Gospel John 14:1-6
1“Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. 3If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also. 4You know where I go, and you know the way.” 5Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Public Domain. First reading Genesis 1:26-2:3
26God said, “Let’s make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27God created man in his own image. In God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. 28God blessed them. God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 29God said, “Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is on the surface of all the earth, and every tree, which bears fruit yielding seed. It will be your food. 30To every animal of the earth, and to every bird of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food;” and it was so. 31God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. There was evening and there was morning, a sixth day. 1The heavens, the earth, and all their vast array were finished. 2On the seventh day God finished his work which he had done; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done. 3God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy, because he rested in it from all his work of creation which he had done.Or: Colossians 3:14-15, 17, 23-24

Responsorial Psalm Psalms 90:2, 3-4, 12-13, 14, 16
2Before the mountains were born, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God. 3You turn man to destruction, saying, “Return, you children of men.” 4For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past, like a watch in the night. 12So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. 13Relent, LORD! How long? Have compassion on your servants! 14Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. 16Let your work appear to your servants, your glory to their children.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Gospel acclamation Psalms 68:20
Gospel Matthew 13:54-58
54Coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these mighty works? 55Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? 56Aren’t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?” 57They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country and in his own house.” 58He didn’t do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic).
