Mass during the Day
First reading Hosea 2:16, 17b-18, 21-22
14“Therefore behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her. 15I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope; and she will respond there as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. 16It will be in that day,” says the LORD, “that you will call me ‘my husband,’ and no longer call me ‘my master.’ 19I will betroth you to me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion. 20I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness; and you shall know the LORD.Some verses are read only in part; the whole verse is shown.

Responsorial Psalm Psalms 145:2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9
2Every day I will praise you. I will extol your name forever and ever. 3Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised! His greatness is unsearchable. 4One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts. 5I will meditate on the glorious majesty of your honor, on your wondrous works. 6Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness. 7They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness. 8The LORD is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness. 9The LORD is good to all. His tender mercies are over all his works.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Public Domain. Source: eBible.org. Read in context: Psalms 145:2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9

Gospel Matthew 9:18-26
18While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.” 19Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples. 20Behold, a woman who had a discharge of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe of his garment; 21for she said within herself, “If I just touch his garment, I will be made well.” 22But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, “Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour. 23When Jesus came into the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the crowd in noisy disorder, 24he said to them, “Make room, because the girl isn’t dead, but sleeping.” They were ridiculing him. 25But when the crowd was sent out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose. 26The report of this went out into all that land.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). First reading 1 Corinthians 6:13c-15a, 17-20
13“Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods,” but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power. 15Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be! 17But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. 18Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin that a man does is outside the body,” but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.Some verses are read only in part; the whole verse is shown.

Responsorial Psalm Psalms 31:3cd-4, 6, 8ab, 16bc, 17
2Bow down your ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be to me a strong rock, a house of defense to save me. 3For you are my rock and my fortress, therefore for your name’s sake lead me and guide me. 5Into your hand I commend my spirit. You redeem me, LORD, God of truth. 7I will be glad and rejoice in your loving kindness, for you have seen my affliction. You have known my soul in adversities. 15My times are in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me. 16Make your face to shine on your servant. Save me in your loving kindness. Some verses are read only in part; the whole verse is shown.

Gospel acclamation James 1:12
Gospel John 12:24-26
24Most certainly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. 25He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life. 26If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Public Domain. Source: eBible.org. Read in context: John 12:24-26
