First reading 1 John 3:7-10
7Little children, let no one lead you astray. He who does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed: that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9Whoever is born of God doesn’t commit sin, because his seed remains in him, and he can’t sin, because he is born of God. 10In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn’t do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who doesn’t love his brother.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Public Domain. Source: eBible.org. Read in context: 1 John 3:7-10
Responsorial Psalm Psalms 98:1, 7-8, 9
1A Psalm. Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. 7Let the sea roar with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein. 8Let the rivers clap their hands. Let the mountains sing for joy together. 9Let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Public Domain. Source: eBible.org. Read in context: Psalms 98:1, 7-8, 9

Gospel John 1:35-42
35Again, the next day, John was standing with two of his disciples, 36and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God!” 37The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. 38Jesus turned and saw them following, and said to them, “What are you looking for?” They said to him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, being interpreted, Teacher), “where are you staying?” 39He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day. It was about the tenth hour. 40One of the two who heard John and followed him was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 41He first found his own brother, Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah!” (which is, being interpreted, Christ). 42He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is by interpretation, Peter).WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Public Domain.
