Mass during the Day
First reading Acts 16:1-10
1He came to Derbe and Lystra; and behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewess who believed, but his father was a Greek. 2The brothers who were at Lystra and Iconium gave a good testimony about him. 3Paul wanted to have him go out with him, and he took and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts, for they all knew that his father was a Greek. 4As they went on their way through the cities, they delivered the decrees to them to keep which had been ordained by the apostles and elders who were at Jerusalem. 5So the assemblies were strengthened in the faith, and increased in number daily. 6When they had gone through the region of Phrygia and Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia. 7When they had come opposite Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit didn’t allow them. 8Passing by Mysia, they came down to Troas. 9A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him and saying, “Come over into Macedonia and help us.” 10When he had seen the vision, immediately we sought to go out to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the Good News to them.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Responsorial Psalm Psalms 100:2, 3, 5
2Serve the LORD with gladness. Come before his presence with singing. 3Know that the LORD, he is God. It is he who has made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 5For the LORD is good. His loving kindness endures forever, his faithfulness to all generations.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Public Domain. Gospel acclamation Colossians 3:1
Gospel John 15:18-21
18If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his lord.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. 21But they will do all these things to you for my name’s sake, because they don’t know him who sent me.WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). First reading Acts 4:8-12
8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “You rulers of the people and elders of Israel, 9if we are examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, 10may it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, this man stands here before you whole in him. 11He is ‘the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.’ 12There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic). Responsorial Psalm Psalms 40:2, 4ab, 7-8a, 8b-9, 10
1For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. I waited patiently for the LORD. He turned to me, and heard my cry. 3He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise to our God. Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. 6Sacrifice and offering you didn’t desire. You have opened my ears. You have not required burnt offering and sin offering. 7Then I said, “Behold, I have come. It is written about me in the book in the scroll. 8I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.” 9I have proclaimed glad news of righteousness in the great assembly. Behold, I will not seal my lips, LORD, you know. Some verses are read only in part; the whole verse is shown.

Gospel Luke 9:57-62
57As they went on the way, a certain man said to him, “I want to follow you wherever you go, Lord.” 58Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” 59He said to another, “Follow me!” But he said, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.” 60But Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce God’s Kingdom.” 61Another also said, “I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to say good-bye to those who are at my house.” 62But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for God’s Kingdom.”WEB-C · World English Bible (Catholic).
